Have you ever heard of curling? The sport center will introduce you to the basics of this action-packed winter sport and show you a few tricks with which you can become a pro.

Snowshoeing «Feel the nature»

Experience the unique winter world of Grächen! In cooperation with the Valais Snow Sports School we offer you 3 days a week an unforgettable snowshoe hike. The hike lasts 2 hours and can be done by 2-4 people. You can register until 10 am on the same day at the hotel.

The event takes place as follows:
Monday & Saturday from 2 pm - 4 pm

On more than 240 square meters, the visitor is offered an ideal oasis of peace and well-being to relax and recuperate - whether after a day of hiking or skiing or a strenuous day at work.

In the hotel's own 6x12m swimming pool with whirlpool of the Aktiv Hotel & Spa Hannigalp, by the way the only indoor pool in Grächen, you can relax and let the everyday life simply roll off! All guests of the Matterhorn Valley Hotels have access to the pool from 8 am to 8 pm and literally let yourself go!

Well-known classics from the long-time owner, Jacqueline Fux. The most famous dish is probably the Grächner hay soup served with ham straw. Before that, a lukewarm beef tartare with quail egg heralds the evening. For the main course you are treated to a veal roulade accompanied by a dried meat risotto. Finally, there is a pear tart with Baileys ice cream.

A classic - beef fillet roasted in one piece with a Bearnaise sauce, served with side dishes of your choice and seasonal vegetables. A small green salad is included as a starter. Julius Andenmatten, the grandfather of today's host Olivier Andenmatten, had already served & flambéed this speciality in the Hannigalp Restaurant in the 1960s. (Reservation requested - THANK YOU)

Flambé has been served at the Grächerhof since time immemorial. The beef fillet à la Russe is a classic on the menu and was already prepared by the legendary Olga Fux. The menu is introduced with homemade dried meat and Zieger sticks. Next, a classic saffron soup is served, with Valais egli as a chowder. The menu is rounded off with a traditionally prepared sabayon à la Malvoisie. You can taste a lot of Valais here!
